Island narrates the fabled tales of Jeju island and its ghost stories.

Ban (Kim Nam-Gil)was trained as a monster hunter to save the world against evil and kills victims who are possessed. Ban feels a sense of guilt in his mind for his actions, yet he never let his emotions get better of him.

Won Mi-Ho (Lee Da-Hee) lacks sensibility and sympathy. She is sent to Jeju island for committing a serious mistake by her father a businessman who owns an enterprise, Daehan Group. She ends up being a teacher targeted by monsters in Jeju Island and Ban is the only one who can protect her.

John (Cha Eun-Woo) is a Catholic priest with a dark past who performs exorcisms. His noble goal is to protect life and purify evil.
