True Beauty is a romantic comedy about a high school girl Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga-young), who has an inferiority complex regarding her appearance,is being bullied and discriminated by her family and peers because of her ugly looks. She then transforms herself into a gorgeous goddess and rises to pretty girl fame after she masters the art of make-up from the internet.

Despite this, she lives with the fear that her classmates will discover her true appearance behind makeup.

The only person in school who knows her ugly secret is Lee Su Ho (Cha Eun Woo), an all-star student with natural good looks and a talent for basketball to boot. Dashingly handsome, Su Ho has captured the hearts of all the girls in the high school.

His dysfunctional family and a tragic incident from a year ago have turned him into an ice-cold boy who hates being the center of attention. He has his own fears, and he harbors a dark secret that has been haunting him for a long time.He is formerly best friends with Han Seo-jun (Hwang In-youp) but distanced themselves from each other because of this incident.

Drawn together, these two individuals not only begin to uncover each other’s secrets but also learn more about their true selves in the process.
